Wedding Guest Book Ideas: Photo Album, Audio Phone & More
Wishes worth keeping

The guest book is one of those wedding details you only truly appreciate years later. A few lines from your grandmother, a joke from your best friend, a child’s doodle – over time they become some of your most treasured keepsakes. A classic book and pen is still lovely, but there are far more creative ways to collect your guests’ wishes today. Here are ideas that work just as well at an intimate wedding in Viesīte or Aknīste as at a big celebration in Daugavpils or Rēzekne.
A photo booth strip album
One of the most popular ideas is combining a photo booth with your guest book. Guests snap a photo, get a print straight away, stick one copy into an album and write a message next to it. Because our photo booth comes with unlimited prints, everyone can keep a copy for themselves too.
To make the album look great, set up a small table next to the booth with a thick-paged album, double-sided tape or photo corners, and markers in a few colours. A little sign saying “Add your photo and leave us a note!” helps guests know what to do. The operator can also remind each group about the album as they step out of the booth.
An audio guest book – the retro phone
If you’d like to hear your guests’ voices twenty years from now, choose an audio guest book. It’s a retro telephone: a guest lifts the receiver, hears your recorded greeting and leaves their message after the tone. You receive the recordings digitally after the wedding, so you can listen back on every anniversary if you like.
An audio guest book is especially sweet for older guests who’d rather not write, and for anyone who expresses themselves better out loud than on paper. People often laugh into the phone, sing a song or tell a story about you – emotions that are hard to capture on a page. You can rent the phone on its own or add it to a photo booth at a lower price.
Signatures on mirror booth prints
A mirror booth captures full-length shots that look more elegant than classic booth photos. These prints are perfect for signing: guests write their name and a short wish on the photo with a marker, then add it to an album or hang it on a string with little pegs. By the end of the night you’ll have a photo gallery and a guest book all in one.
If you like, the print design can include a blank space especially for signatures. Let us know in advance and we’ll tailor the template to your wedding colours and theme.
Can you combine them all?
Absolutely. One of the warmest setups is a photo booth with an album and the retro phone right beside it. That way, guests who like to write can write, and those who prefer to talk can record. Book two or more services and you get 10% off, while the audio guest book costs just €50 together with a photo booth.
Practical tips
- Place the guest book somewhere visible, but not by the exit where people are rushing
- Make sure there’s good lighting – writing in a dim corner is hard
- Keep spare markers, glue and pens on hand
- Put the retro phone in a quieter spot away from the speakers
- Record a short, warm greeting for guests to hear before the tone
- Ask your best man, maid of honour or the operator to encourage guests to join in
- Choose someone to take the album home safely after the party
