360° Video Booth for Graduation: How It Works & What to Plan
Spin like a star

Graduation is a night students remember for years, and every class wants theirs to feel special. More and more graduation parties and school proms now feature a 360° video booth – a spot where friends film a short, dynamic clip together, complete with music and slow-motion moments. Here’s how it works, how we keep everyone safe and what to include in your plan, whether your graduation is in Daugavpils, Rēzekne, Krāslava, Ludza or right here in Jēkabpils.
How a 360° video booth works
One or more people step onto a low, round platform. A camera on a rotating arm circles around them, filming from every angle. A few seconds later the video is processed automatically: music is added, key moments are slowed down, and a frame with the event name or school logo appears. The result is a short clip that looks straight out of a music video.
An operator is beside the platform the whole time. They help guests get into position, hand out props, start the camera and make sure every video turns out well. The graduates don’t need to understand any of the tech – they just smile, dance and have fun.
Safety comes first
Graduation nights are full of energy, so safety really matters. Here’s what we stick to:
- We set the platform on a flat, stable surface with clear space around it
- The operator decides how many people can be on the platform at once
- The camera only starts spinning when everyone is standing securely and ready
- No tables, chairs or drinks are kept around the platform
- The operator can stop the rotation at any moment
We recommend that guests don’t run or jump on the platform but move to the rhythm instead – the videos look better that way too. If someone is wearing a long dress or high heels, the operator will help them find the safest pose.
Music and atmosphere
Music is half the magic of a 360° video. You can pick one song for the whole evening – your class anthem or this year’s biggest hit, for example – or several tracks that rotate. Share your wishes with us in advance and we’ll have everything ready before the event. The video frame can include the school name, the year and your class motto.
Sharing the videos
The biggest plus of 360° videos is that they can be shared straight away. Graduates can get their clips the same evening and post them to social media right away. After the event, organisers can receive all the videos together to build a keepsake collection for the class. We’ll go over the exact sharing options when we plan your event.
Pairing with a photo booth or photographer
Many classes choose the 360° platform together with a photo booth, so they get both videos and printed photos to keep. Another great idea is an event photographer to capture the ceremony, speeches and dance floor. Book two or more services and you get 10% off.
Planning checklist
- Agree with the school or venue on a spot for the platform and a nearby power socket
- Decide when the booth will run – usually after the formal part of the evening
- Prepare a playlist and the text for the video frame
- Discuss how graduates will receive their videos
- Consider adding a photo booth or photographer
- Book early – graduation season is very short
